I was going through some of the many texts Leen has written over the years and came across this one. She wrote this text about finding happiness in 2016, but I guess today is the ideal day to share it …

finding happiness within by adjusting our brain
Adjusting our brain so that we become more positive and therefore happier and more successful …
I am currently reading Shawn Achor’s book “The Happiness Advantage”. I got his Ted Talk through Tim, and it was a hit!
Like so many people, for some years, I have been studying The Secret, The Law of Attraction and other books. I applied what I learned with varying degrees of success.
It all remains rather vague though. However, there is always the feeling that it really works, that there really is a ground of truth in it. An elusive truth. Volatile and fickle.
I cannot lose the feeling that it is always floating just in front of me.
At moments when I am really actively busy charging myself positively I can almost touch it with my fingertips.
When everyday life catches up with me again and I forget to make positive dreams about the future — dreams detailed enough so the universe understands what I want, but not too specific so that I don’t miss out on related things, big enough to look forward to, but realistic enough to make it more believable … — then, it all seems to float somewhere out of reach between the debris of meteors and discarded satellites.
This book is different, substantiated, scientifically still!
The logic of the structure is so simple. Even so that to a degree I wonder: how is it possible that I didn’t think of this myself?
Just as if a veil has been lifted. It allows you to instantly realize the things you never thought about before …
